Lock the differential

Messaggioda madeirense » venerdì 13 febbraio 2009, 13:38

Hello, I´m Sérgio Ferreira from Portugal and I'm a owner of a 1988 Panda 4x4 Sisley Mark I.

I've been searching your forum for a diferencial lock for the rear axle and I'm a bit confused.

Which brand supply the lock's? K.I.K. transtad, and I've seen another one but I don't remember right now.

Which one do you recomend?

I tried to translate this at google:

topic.asp?TOPIC_ID=21&whichpage=1

but it's quite dificult to understand.

Can you please help me?

Thank You
madeirense

Thank you for your answers on such short notice.

I haven't replied yet because I was away for the weekend...

I will reach this man by phone as son as I can.

Other thing, can you please explain me what is the "mozzi liberi" (i think you write it like this) is some type of "overdrive"?

Thank you once again...

Hi Maider, "mozzi liberi" are the FREE WHEELING HUBS for rear axle. Latest Panda 4x4 Mark I was equipped directly with manual coupling MOZZI LIBERI, the Autobianchi Y10 4x4 was set up with a lowering air pressure coupling system

The Y10 4x4 rear axle fits very well on a Panda, the coupling control can be easly settled inside (using wire cables similar to parking brakes) to make a finest upgrade

Ok, now I understand...

You fit the rear axle of an Y10 4wd to a panda and the use a hand-made coupling device...

It's very nice indeed...

By the way, do you know if this company (techno sea) has an e-mail adress?
